Hibiscus

This is a picture of my now 20 year old Hibiscus. I got this as a cutting from a Hibiscus plant that was Chris' Mom's. As you can see the trunk of the plant is pretty big.

This is a baby from the 20 year old.

Getting a Start

To get a start you need to just cut a piece from the plant that you want. I strip the end a little to help in the production of roots. We found something that works well also. It's a hormone called Thrive. It is not a fertilizer, so you can use it with your plant food. It will help stimulate root growth. I have had  plants that were almost dead and we used some 'Thrive' on them and it brought them back to life. It's super concentrated, so you only need a few drops at a time.
